PRACTICE
At Richard Eves Architects we bring imagination and creativity to projects in a way that is specific to individual clients. Every scheme is a chance to explore ideas and seek opportunities.
On the occasion of Richard Eves’ retirement in 1990, a reception was held for clients and friends of the office at Ripley Castle. A retrospective exhibition of the work of the office formed part of the event which also celebrated the fact that the business was 100 years old at that time, making us one of the longest practicing Architectural firms in the region. Following Richard's retirement Peter Eves and Ian Moore took over the running of the business, vitally supported by Associates Richard Jackson and Nigel Rawlinson. Richard & Nigel retired recently both having worked for more than 40 years for the firm.

Our work over the years has been varied; with the office continuing to develop expertise in the design of health buildings for various NHS Trusts, latterly specialising in the design of mental health facilities for adult and older people in Yorkshire. Work on community projects and schools, both locally and across the UK, has provided the opportunity for us to design classrooms, libraries, theatres, 6th form centres and laboratories. Together with ecclesiastical and domestic projects the working life of the practice has been and continues to be exciting and inspiring.
Andrew Staunton is the new generation in the office and together we are looking to the future. We can now offer our clients the advantage of working with Building Information Modelling (BIM) software and have already seen how 3D renders and imagery of schemes can transform the way in which we communicate our ideas to clients, other consultants, local authorities and contractors. These new technologies alongside our traditional routes allow us to provide a service which can communicate our designs and aspirations.
These are exciting times and the future looks bright for Richard Eves Architects.
